The company was founded as Strategic Systems Consulting, Inc. in Norcross, Georgia in 1986 by three ex "Big Four" consultants. For ten years the company provided consulting, project management, and client-server application development services for Fortune 500 companies. In 1996 the company foresaw the expanding potential of the Internet. The company rapidly acquired the skills and knowledge to deliver application solutions for use via web browsers. At this time the company began offering hosting services under the brand name eApps.
Since 1996, eApps has evolved into a premier provider of managed hosting services. The company's staff are experts on the most widely used applications, which are delivered and managed in a powerful web based administration interface. Our technical expertise initially focused on Java Application Servers (Tomcat, GlassFish, JBoss, Liferay Portal) for web applications, and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Over the years our technical skills have expanded to cover other leading programming technologies and frameworks including PHP/Zend Framework, Python/Django, and Ruby/Rails. We also provide support for widely used CMS, Portal, and eCommerce applications.
